This is my own rant about the WWE, just what i have noticed, after watching wrestling again after about a 2 year hiatus, maybe longer than that...And this doesn't mean im right, its just what i think.
1. Top Heavy-ish- Currently I only See a couple of wrestlers who are truly main event level, and 4 of those don't wrestle much anymore- HHH, Undertaker,HBK, Rock, Jericho, Cena, Orton, Punk and since he has the Smackdown title Daniel Bryan and because he is going after said title Sheamus..- I say this about bryan because i haven't watched many smackdowns, and he just seems like a upper mid card guy carrying the title. And Sheamus, well he is a ginger, no one wants to rest the company on a ginger im kidding.
Honorable mentions, ie those who are main event players who just are not in the main event spots-Big show, Kane, Yeah i guess thats it.
2. Nameless faceless mid-card hell- WWE has a plethora of mid-card talent, I love watching Kofi btw how he gets that kind of air i dont even know. Unfortunatly with any plethora this means you have a crap ton of people and nowhere to put them. Which is made worse that WWE like doing 20 minute promos with the top guys, multiple ones. And since there are tons of mid-carders, this means guys who will be come main eventers are being pushed at random towards the Main Events, and this ends up killing whatever momentum they might have, or in recent weeks injuring them and taking them out of sight and out of mind.
3.Random un-advertised matches at Pay-per-views must stop. I ve only watched 2 shows the Rumbple and Elminiation chamber, and both shows had this, I hate this. It destroys the continutiy of the pay-per-view, also it keeps good story-lines from emerging to help out the guys who are in midcard hell. Does this mean that guys like Mark Henry, Dolph Ziggler, the Miz, R Truth, and the many other guys will be able to pull off a good story- no, but it would be nice if they had a shot. I understand the the internet is forcing WWE to try to surprise us, so they throw these in there, either that or they run the show and realize- o no we have 10 minutes of dead time so lets throw some guys in for a quick match. If its the later-thats a bad sign. But advertising wokrs wonders, and helping a couple of the mid card guys have a feud is good for eveybody.
4. Divas-meaningless once again- yeah the Divas have never been big for WWE, except for Chyna and Sable, but gone are the days of potentially exciting matches with the divas, its just the truth. Beth Pheonix has the title right now because anyone else having it would be an insult to her, except maybe Kharma, and ive only seen her in the Rumble. and the WWE must know this because the girls are not giving much of a chance to prove otherwise, short matches, and empty characters galore.
5. Rematches and pulling double duty, I dont like this either, there is no reason why Bryan and Punk need to have the roughly the same match all over again, making it a tag would be fine, hell let them fgiht the others challenger. but to have them do the same thing-(great match, false endings with with GM troubles) is just dumb. yes they are great matches and incredible performers- but if you see the same thing in two days its dull. On pulling double duty, as mentioned above you have midcarders overflowing out the wazzoo, why does anyone need to be in more then 1 match, beyond story line reasons, if there is a reason hey great, but if not then it just looks messy, looks a whole lot like WCW, and we all know what place that was.
chime in if you want, or can, hey maybe i missed something, maybe not.
